Ocean Exploration Expo Co-Hosted by the House Oceans Caucus

Date: Thursday, June 6, 2019 Time: 09:30 AM Location: 2325 Rayburn House Office Building

On June 6, please join the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee for an Ocean Exploration Expo to showcase breakthrough ocean technology, footage from ocean exploration missions, and other hands-on experiences from the start-ups, researchers, philanthropists, and government agencies at the front lines of modern ocean exploration.

Attendees will be able to speak with the experts behind these projects at their booths.

Following the Environment Subcommittee’s June 5th hearing, “Ocean Exploration: Diving to New Depths and Discoveries,” the Ocean Exploration Expo will allow Members, their staff, and the public to continue to learn about new frontiers in ocean exploration and discovery, and how Congress can best support R&D in this exciting field. Participants in the showcase will include the NOAA Office of Exploration and Research, National Geographic, the Smithsonian Institution, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, OpenROV, OceanX, MIT Sea Grant, MIT Media Lab, Schmidt Ocean Institute, and Saildrone.
