Ranking Member Eddie Bernice Johnson and L’Oréal to Discuss Challenges and Opportunities for Women in STEM
(Washington, DC) – Tomorrow, October 22, 2015, Ranking Member Eddie Bernice Johnson will be speaking at the L’Oréal panel discussion for leaders in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. STEM fellows from American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the 2015 L’Oréal USA for Women in Science programs will partake in the panel discussion.
The participants will share experiences and discuss the challenges and opportunities for women in STEM. There will also be a panel discussion that will highlight the career paths of AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowship alumni who are currently working on the Hill. Following the panel discussion, current and former AAAS fellows will participate in a networking session with the current L’Oréal USA for Women in Science fellows.
