Manufacturing is the backbone of the U.S. economy and American manufacturers are a critical part of our future as global leaders in innovation and technology. The CHIPS and Science Act makes critical manufacturing investments in support of programs at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). COMPETES will strengthen our supply chain, revitalize American manufacturing, and bolster our national security by preventing shortages of critical goods and making sure more of these goods are made right here in the U.S.
See below for fact sheets on sections of the CHIPS and Science Act that will help us to support American manufacturing.
